Dorset general practice managers recognised on National Practice Managers Day
The Dorset General Practice Alliance has marked the first National Practice Managers Day by recognising the people who support general practice across Dorset.
Practice managers, business managers and PCN managers play an important role every day. They lead teams, support staff and help services run smoothly for patients and colleagues.
To mark the day, colleagues from across Dorset shared messages of thanks and appreciation for managers who make a difference in their practices and teams.
Hay-Ming Blunt, GP Partner and Clinical Lead at Fordington Surgery, said:
“All GPs wish they could have a practice manager along the lines of Justine - calm, supportive and the glue that holds our surgery together. She makes my life easier on every level and I am extremely lucky to work alongside her.”
Dr Jonathan Bond, GP Partner at Puddletown Surgery, said:
“Clare is a unifying force within the practice; without her management skills, covering both staff and patients alike, we would not be the practice we are today. As GP partners we can not thank her enough for all her hard work.”
Fiona Cleary, from the Alliance Business Management Team, was also recognised by colleagues for her support across Dorset primary care.
Liz Hoskinson, Allied Health Professional Lead, said:
“From the very beginning of the Dorset General Practice Alliance, Fiona has been truly proactive in recognising, supporting and growing the presence of allied health professionals in the Dorset primary care space.”
The Alliance also shared the short video below on social media using real quotes from Dorset colleagues to celebrate the day.
Thank you to all managers working across Dorset general practice for the difference you make every day.
