FAQs
Do I need to book?
Yes. Booking is essential so we can plan catering and ensure there is enough space for everyone.
Who is this event for?
This event is open to everyone working in general practice across Dorset, including GPs, nurses, practice managers, digital leads, administrators, reception teams and the wider practice workforce. Whether you're leading digital transformation or simply want to understand what it means for your role, you'll find practical and relevant sessions.
I'm not in a digital role. Should I still come?
Absolutely. Digital technology now affects every part of general practice. The event is designed to be relevant for the whole practice team, not just those working in IT or digital roles.
I'm not very confident with technology. Is this event suitable for me?
Yes. You don't need to be a technical expert. The sessions are designed to help everyone better understand digital developments, with practical advice you can take back to your practice.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes. Lunch and refreshments are included with your booking.
I have a food allergy or dietary requirement.
Please let us know when you complete the booking form so we can cater for your needs.
Is there parking?
The event is being held at Citygate Centre, Bournemouth, BH8 8AS.
Parking at the venue is limited, so we recommend using the nearby Bournemouth Train Station car park. You can also find other local parking options using the map provided on the booking page.
What if I need to cancel?
If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing dgpa@dorsetgp.nhs.uk. This helps us manage catering numbers and offer your place to someone else.
I have another question.
If you need any further information before the event, please email dgpa@dorsetgp.nhs.uk.
We encourage all attendees to consider sustainable travel options where possible.
Car sharing, using public transport, cycling, or walking can help reduce our environmental impact.
If you're driving, why not connect with colleagues to share a ride?
Every small step makes a difference!
Thank you for helping us make this event more eco-friendly. 🌍💚
